Application Period Opens for
Los Abogados 2026 Board of Directors
Join the Los Abogados Board of Directors as we begin our 50th year.
Please submit your application by e-mail to losabogados@losabogados.org no later than
11:59 pm on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Please include the following information in the body of your e-mail:
1. Law school attended, year licensed, number of years in practice.
2. Place of employment and area of practice.
3. Los Abogados activities in which you have participated or supported.
4. Other boards or organizations for which you are currently serving or have previously served.
5. A brief statement as to why you wish to serve on the 2026 Board of Directors (200 word limit).
*Two (2) positions on our board are reserved for attorneys who have been licensed to practice law for a period of five (5) years or less. Two (2) additional positions on our board are reserved for attorneys who reside outside of Maricopa County. Please indicate in your letter of interest if you qualify for any of these categories.
NOTE: In order to be eligible to apply for the 2026 Los Abogados Board of Directors you must be a current member (whose dues are paid). Active members must be licensed to practice law by January 1, 2026.

General Requirements & Expectations of all board members:
1. Attending the annual retreat is mandatory. The 2026 retreat is scheduled to take place in January 2026 in Tucson.
2. Attend all monthly board meetings (one evening per month).
3. Participate in and support our Golf Tournament & Gala. Board members are expected to fundraise, attend, and assist in the planning and execution of these events.
4. Serve on at least one board committee.
5. Support the organization by attending the luncheons, happy hour events and other various events.
6. Abide by the Amended and Restated Bylaws, Anti-Harassment and Anti-Bullying Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Board Member Expectations.
